The Herald story was written by a retard - their description cracks me up of the events. 
As for the lame Police responses - they obviously couldn't find somewhere who gave a Rats Razoo about this and in their desperation went all over town trying to find someone who might actually say that it was reckless or stupid.
Talk about winding it up to get some sensationalism, instead of going 'WOW check this dude out rtiding down the Bombay Hills on his skateboard, this is really cool' Nah, not likely as that wouldn't have made the front page 
Obviously someone tied up with the Auckland City Council anti-skateboarders club
